Request for Opinions

I'm a slacker blogger.  Spiff stopped writing on the blog over a year ago, and I have struggled with blogging motivation ever since, especially since the blog was his idea in the first place.  I liked it when it was our joint effort.  It like a nice little insight into our lives instead of the mommy blog it tends to be these days.  Now that it's my sole effort, I feel like I have already said what I have to say about my life, and I'm really struggling to find interesting topics.  It lacks direction.

So, my question to my dear (and faithful-through-all-of-this) readers is...What do you want to hear about from our corner of the world?  If I can share something from our lives, what do you want it to be?  Stories about my kids?  Updates on the non-kid-related things I do to keep myself busy (reading, running, cleaning, caking, church calling, etc.)?  A detailed discussion on what we eat and how I picked it?  My opinion on how to save the world?

Would you rather I pack it in and "just stop talking already?!"

Please share. You can be honest.  Don't worry, I can take it.

I like options numbered 2 and 4 from above. Other than that I would like to hear stories from your past including how you met Spiff, worst/best high school moments, and best thing you have done as a mom. Plus also it probably shouldn't be titled the medical adventures of spaceman spiff, since its not really medical (unless you want to include funny poop stories too) or about spaceman spiff.

Oh! And it would be nice to get your favorite meal of the week once a week. Sometimes a little inspiration is nice. And now I'm done being bossy.

I take FULL credit for their love because I did almost NOTHING for it. Minty came up to me and asked me if my brother was seeing anyone, all casual like. So then I all casually said to Spiff "you know who you should ask out? Minthia." He said nothing much and left on a bike ride, and while he was gone Mindy called! So basically I brought their love together singlehandedly. I also designed their wedding invitation and gave Minthy her beautiful middle name that, against all odds, has stuck.

Tell us YOUR side Mindalou

I agree with all of the above ideas. But for me, my main request is simply that you DO NOT stop writing. I love your thoughts (on whatever they happen to be upon) and it makes my day when I see a new post from you.

well i think you should keep going with the kid posts, but also just more "what i've been up to" stuff because i miss my friend like crazy and when you talk about your everyday life/activities/goins-on, i can pretend that you're TELLING ME all about them and i'm not just reading them from the abyss of NW Ohio.

And i second Mhana. you could definitely use some lewd limericks on here, and maybe some bawdy haiku.

I totally love reading your blog! I love the stories of what's going on! I love the good and the bad, especially since sometimes, I just want to read that someone else understand this crazy life!

So I keep seeing in my sidebar your "request for opinions." I will keep offering opinions until you post again.

I think orange cheddar is kind of gross and off-putting.
I think Downton Abbey plays fast and loose with time and is soap, but I still watch it.
I think folding laundry is the worst.
I think caramels are the best kind of chocolates.
I think President's Day is kind of a rip off for all the presidents who WEREN'T born in winter.
I think charmin is the best toilet paper.
I think they should have had someone with a stronger voice play Javert in Les Mis.

There is more where that came from. Blog!

I love to read all your posts: funny stories about the kids, difficulties you have, the good and the bad. I love the idea of sharing your favorite recipe for the week. I love to read your blog, no matter what you write about.

But I also know that life is stressful, and sometimes blogging can feel like just another thing on your to do list, so I would understand if you stopped blogging - I just need to call you more often.

For myself, I love using it to look back on my life because I forget so many things and I'm glad I have my blog to help me remember. Love you!
